Below is a list of technology tools and resources. While many IT professionals are biased toward a product or set of products, it is important to make tool selections that complement the experiences of your organization. All products have strengths and they all have weaknesses. If you are a J2EE or .Net shop, it probably is not worth changing to a tool outside of the domain already established by your IT department.
However, common to both major tool camps (J2EE & .Net) is the support of XML based technologies....Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, etc. have been adopted by all major product vendors. If you or your IT partner(s) don't have XML technology experience, it is important to establish a plan to develop XML expertise and XML based solutions.
