1. How do I update my system with data from MNCIS?
   • The MNCIS website includes comprehensive documentation about MNCIS Integration Services.
   • The MNCIS Services page (link at left) provides additional help.
   • Get help from someone familiar with MNCIS data and integration services to jump start the process and benefit from lessons already learned.
2. We are not ready to start an integration project yet, but are there things we can do to help prepare us for a project to integrate with MNCIS?
   • Yes, there are several important areas that can be started early to help prepare for a MNCIS integration project, these include:
     • Review MNCIS code tables and associated values. Code table examples include Race, Gender, Agencies, Statutes, etc. If you do not adopt the same values as MNCIS, you will need a strategy for mapping between the values you use and those used by MNCIS, as well as other key systems such as S3.
     • Review key areas of MNCIS such as names and address and determine how consistent these areas are with your current processes and systems. As an example, MNCIS does not identify names as alias, maiden, etc. Instead they identify a current case name. If a name(s) used on a prior case if different it is available as an alternate name.
       • Another key area to review is date of birth. MNCIS identifies a current case date of birth, but alternate dates of birth are not associated with a name. For systems that associate a DOB with a name, a strategy will need to be defined for how to handle data from MNCIS.
